Teaching pro John Sosa of River Place Country Club, joins Erin Hogan, Charley Wilson and Steve Hammond on the HoT Golf Podcast to share some of his junior golf experiences with Phil Mickelson, and to talk about the team of U-13 Austin-area golfers he’s coaching at next week’s PGA Junior National Team Championships, Nov. 18-21, in Frisco, TX.
John Sosa was an American Junior Golf Association first-team All-American and a Top 5 college recruit in the same class with Phil Mickelson and Jim Furyk. He accepted and received a full scholarship to the University of Texas here in Austin. He turned Professional in 1993 and has been teaching full time since 2003.
