Everyone knows Austin is one of the coolest places to live, and as we continue to grow it’s only getting cooler. The only downside to that is that every day there are more and more cool things going on that you could miss out on. That’s why every Thursday, we turn to friend of the show Nick Shuley, to make sure you don’t miss out.
Not only does Nick host “3rd and Longhorn” and “brUTherhood” with numerous Texas greats like Rod Babers, Derrick Johnson, D.J. Augustin, and Royal Ivey, but also he also serves as President of the Austin Music Movement.
Here’s what Nick doesn’t want you to miss out on this week:
1) The Moontower Comedy Festival is off and running for 12 days of some of the best comedians from around the world as well as tons of local home-grown talent to tickle your funny bone. (Including our very own Sawyer Stull from 3 Guys on Sports)
2) Founded by hospitality veterans, Joseph Zoccoli (former Uchi Chef) and Richard Thomas, Austin’s newest Italian restaurant Casa Bianca officially opens this Friday on East Cesar Chavez. Reservations are available via RESY and walk-ins are also welcome
3) For those with the need for speed, nobody goes faster around the Circuit of Americas than the riders of the MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix of Americas. Practices start Friday with qualifying on Saturday before the big race on Sunday at 2pm. Vroom Vroom!
