Hour One
We recapped this weekend in sports on a Good, Bad, and Ugly Monday including Rory McIlroy’s collapse at the US Open, the College World Series and the NBA Finals. Our Horns at Half past touched on the big recruiting weekend for the Texas Football team. In Jack’s heat check we discussed one of the worst QB “controversies” the NFL has ever seen.
Hour Two
Our E-Blast covered Bryson DeChambeau’s big win at the US Open.
Nick revealed what NBA arena’s have the best popcorn in our Hajda (“Hi-Duh” in case you were wondering) Headlines, and we discussed some of the five-star players on the Texas Football roster for 2024.
Hour Three
ESPN’s Jon Medani joined Game Time to preview tonight’s Game Five of the NBA Finals in Boston. Erin and Jack the producer discuss yet another controversy surrounding Caitlin Clark. Plus, some more Good, Bad, and Ugly conversation including the US Open, Bruce Springsteen, the Astros cutting ties with beleaguered first baseman Jose Abreu, and so much more.
TUESDAY 6-18 – Celtics Win, Fantasy Football chats and the state of TX Football when OnTexasFootball‘s Gerry Hamilton joins the show to talk Texas Football
Hour One
We recap the Boston Celtics’ NBA Finals win over the Dallas Mavericks. In the Horns at Half Past we dive into some recent comments made by Texas Football coach Steve Sarkisian. And, at the end of the hour, we discuss whether this was one of the most underwhelming playoffs in recent memory.
Hour Two
We talk fantasy football and the worst (or best?) punishments for last place finishers. We also continue our conversation on Steve Sarkisian and the state of Texas Football with team culture and NIL. Plus, some Hajda Headlines at the bottom of the hour.
Hour Three
We discuss Texas Baseball’s Head Coaching situation and some potential names to consider. Plus, some NBA Finals talk and a look ahead at the future of the NBA and the Western Conference. Hour One
We dive into the legacy of one of the greatest baseball players of all time, Willie Mays, after his passing. We also take a look at some Pro Football Focus positional rankings in college football. In the Horns at Half Past we hear from Longhorns Head Football coach Steve Sarkisian on being vulnerable with his players, overcoming his struggles with alcoholism, and his experience with some of the greatest football coaches of all time. Jack’s Heat Check is that champions of American sports leagues are, in fact, world champions.
Hour Two
E. Hogan laments the lost art of the complete game for starting pitchers. In our E-Blast we discuss Bronny James. Shedeur Sanders and nepotism in sports. We take a look at Heisman odds for the upcoming college football season. Nick reveals in our Hajda Headlines that the Kansas City Chiefs may be relocating from Kansas City, Missouri to Kansas City, Kansas.
Hour Three
Charlie Wilson from Callahan’s General Store and golf pro Omar Uresti join us for the Inward Nine to talk last weekend’s US Open as well as some more talk about the great Willie Mays. Shaun Bijani from Houston’s SportsTalk 610 for our weekly Astros Update. To close us out, E gives us an update on the College World Series and gives us his plans and some bets for his upcoming Las Vegas trip.
